Role Overview & Responsibilities
As a UPS Part-Time Loader, you build outbound package car loads in precise delivery sequence order during a focused 3.5 to 5 hour sort shift inside our package center, ensuring every driver departs with a complete, accurately sequenced load ready for a full day of deliveries.
- Sequence Load Building: Load packages into assigned package cars in exact stop-by-stop delivery order, positioning every parcel label-out on the correct shelf position so the driver can pull each stop cleanly without searching through the vehicle.
- Load Quality Compliance: Build every load following UPS-approved stacking methods — heavy items on the floor, fragile packages in protected positions, no overhangs — ensuring load integrity survives a full day of road vibration and frequent door openings.
