Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Package Unloader, you physically empty inbound 53-foot trailers at the sort floor induction point of our package center — working at a sustained individual unload rate of 800 to 1,200 packages per hour and placing every pulled package correctly oriented on the inbound conveyor belt to ensure clean barcode reads, accurate routing, and maximum downstream sort velocity throughout the active sort window.

• Systematic Trailer Clearance Method: Execute UPS's approved trailer unload method — enter the trailer and work from the door toward the nose, pulling packages from the top row of each stack before pulling from the bottom row to prevent avalanche collapse, maintaining a body position that keeps your back straight and your legs doing the lift work — sustaining this technique at 800 to 1,200 packages per hour for the entire 25 to 40 minute trailer clearance window without sacrificing safety for speed.
