Role Overview & Responsibilities
As a UPS Warehouse Supervisor, you lead a team of 15 to 40 hourly associates through a sort shift inside our package center, managing productivity, safety compliance, and associate development simultaneously while holding your area to strict throughput standards.
- Shift Leadership & Productivity Management: Conduct pre-shift meetings, assign associates to positions, monitor real-time productivity data on the operations dashboard, and deploy staffing adjustments the moment throughput trends below target.
- Safety Culture Enforcement: Audit your area constantly for unsafe conditions, equipment misuse, and method compliance failures, correcting behavior immediately and documenting safety observations per UPS compliance policy.
- Associate Performance Development: Deliver structured performance coaching to hourly associates, documenting attendance and productivity conversations in UPS's HR system and escalating progressive discipline situations to the Operations Manager promptly.
