Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Bulk Freight Worker, you process multi-piece and pallet-level bulk shipments through our fulfillment center — receiving, verifying, staging, and loading large-format commercial freight that exceeds standard parcel handling parameters and requires the specialized knowledge and physical capacity that only trained bulk handlers reliably deliver.

• Pallet Freight Receiving: Receive inbound pallet shipments at the bulk dock, verifying pallet counts and condition against vendor bills of lading, documenting any shortage or damage before the freight enters the active inventory system, and escalating discrepancies through the correct resolution channel without delay.
• Powered Equipment Staging: Operate electric pallet movers and manual pallet jacks to transport bulk freight from the receiving dock to assigned staging zones, positioning every pallet correctly for outbound loading sequence access without blocking active travel lanes on the warehouse floor.
• Outbound Bulk Load Execution: Load palletized bulk freight into outbound trailers using proper pallet jack placement technique, securing every pallet against trailer side walls or using load bars and straps as required by UPS's bulk freight securement standards before authorizing the dock seal.
