Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS HR Coordinator, you manage the full employment lifecycle administration for hourly and part-time associates at an assigned package center or hub — covering new hire onboarding, benefits enrollment, attendance documentation, FMLA administration, and Teamsters contract compliance support for the facility's operations management team.

• New Hire Onboarding Administration: Process new hire paperwork packages — I-9 verification using E-Verify, direct deposit enrollment in the UPS PeopleSoft HRIS, Teamsters union membership application routing, and UPS safety policy acknowledgment documentation — for every new associate within their first 72 hours of employment, meeting the facility's onboarding completion SLA that triggers payroll system activation for their first weekly paycheck.
• FMLA & Leave Coordination: Administer FMLA leave requests under both the federal Family and Medical Leave Act and the applicable Teamsters national master agreement leave provisions — issuing designation notices within five business days of leave request, coordinating with the Teamsters Health & Welfare Fund for short-term disability benefit activation, and tracking leave expiration dates to ensure compliant return-to-work coordination with the operations management team.
