Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Scan Audit Associate, you maintain chain-of-custody tracking accuracy across the active sort floor inside our fulfillment center — using the UPS Sort Manager tracking dashboard, portable Bluetooth scanners, and your knowledge of package flow pathways to locate, manually scan, and correctly route every package that bypassed the automated scan tunnel during the sort window.

• No-Read Exception Resolution: Monitor the Sort Manager dashboard for real-time no-read alerts triggered when packages pass through the scan tunnel without a valid barcode capture — physically locating each alerted package within the sort flow, manually scanning it with a Bluetooth handheld device, and re-routing it to the correct outbound destination before it is loaded into the wrong trailer.
• Tunnel Performance Monitoring: Track automated scan tunnel read-rate percentages across all belt sections during active sort windows, identifying any section consistently reading below the 99.2 percent facility target and escalating the finding to the maintenance team with a specific tunnel ID and estimated read-rate deviation for prioritized repair scheduling.
• Misload Barcode Investigation: When a driver returns with a misloaded package — a parcel loaded into the wrong package car — trace the scan history of that package back through the sort audit log to identify the point of diversion failure, documenting the root cause in the quality tracking system to prevent recurrence on subsequent shifts.
