Role Overview & Responsibilities
As a UPS Fulfillment Associate, you support the full daily workflow of our fulfillment center — processing inbound volume, maintaining sort floor accuracy, and staging outbound shipments — rotating across functions as directed by your area supervisor to keep throughput balanced and the network running on schedule.
- Inbound Package Processing: Receive and scan inbound packages from arriving trailers, verifying routing barcodes against the digital inbound manifest and inducting every parcel into the sort system without delay or error at the start of each sort window.
- Sort Floor Coverage: Support peak belt throughput by covering assigned sort positions during high-volume windows, reading destination labels and diverting packages accurately to outbound chutes and trailer lanes at a sustained production rate.
- Outbound Staging: Move completed sort output — shrink-wrapped pallets and loose freight containers — to assigned outbound dock positions using hand trucks and pallet jacks, verifying load counts against the outbound manifest before the dock door closes.
