Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Supply Chain Analyst, you develop data-driven analyses of network performance, customer shipping behavior, and transportation cost drivers — using SQL, Python, and UPS's enterprise BI platform to generate insights that inform route engineering, network capacity planning, and customer pricing strategy decisions across the UPS ground and air network.

• Network Performance Analysis: Query the UPS Teradata Enterprise Data Warehouse using SQL to extract route-level performance data — on-time delivery percentage, stops-per-car-hour, cost-per-package, misload rate, and driver overallowed time — aggregating results at the center, district, and region level and identifying performance outliers that warrant targeted operational investigation by the industrial engineering or dispatch management teams.
• Customer Shipping Profile Analytics: Analyze individual customer shipping profiles using the UPS Business Intelligence CIE (Customer Information Exchange) data set — building commodity mix, weight distribution, zone penetration, and transit time requirement profiles for top revenue accounts and identifying growth opportunities where the customer's current UPS product utilization under-indexes against their total shipping spend potential based on their industry vertical benchmark.
