Role Overview & Responsibilities

As a UPS Fulfillment Center Shipping Associate, you manage all outbound trailer documentation, seal compliance, and carrier coordination at the dock level of our fulfillment center, ensuring every outbound trailer departs with verified contents, correct paperwork, and intact seals before its scheduled departure time.

• Outbound Trailer Documentation: Generate and verify bills of lading, outbound package count manifests, and seal log records for every departing trailer, confirming system data matches physical trailer contents before authorizing the dock seal to be applied.
• Seal Application & Verification: Apply tamper-evident seals to loaded outbound trailers, recording seal numbers in UPS's transportation management system and cross-referencing with the departure manifest to maintain the chain-of-custody documentation required by UPS compliance and carrier contracts.
• Driver & Carrier Coordination: Interface professionally with arriving linehaul drivers and carrier representatives at the outbound dock, verifying driver credentials, assigning dock doors, confirming trailer assignments, and releasing drivers on schedule according to the hard departure plan.
